2023 News from Chloe B

I had several books come out, but finally mid-year the drawing slowed down quite a bit and I only had 2 books to work on. I could focus on developing my creative process / illustration style and trying out my first school visits.

June: I met several alpacas, analog summer, drawing Etta Extraordinaire, and MY BOOK: A to Z Animal Mysteries; The Absent Alpacas Author: Kayla Whaley Illustrator: Chloe Burgett (me!)

July: I start trying to get school visits, my first experiments with pencil drawing and scanning, and the book Making More; How Life Begins Author and Illustrator: Katherine Roy

August: sunflowers, Forrest Burdett, drawing my Analog Summer piece, and the book: Evergreen Author and Illustrator: Matthew Cordell

September: Arabia Steamboat Museum, Fall into a Good Book poster, and MY THIRD PICTURE BOOK Potatoes for Pirate Pearl Author: Jennifer Concepcion Illustrator: Chloe Burgett (ME!)

November: I met James Gurney & LeUyen Pham, saw the Mazza Museum, submitted finals for Etta 2, met the Fancy Nancy illustrator, and launched my FOURTH PICTURE BOOK: Etta Extraordinaire Authors: Roda Ahmed and Charnaie Gordon Illustrator: Chloe Burgett (ME!)
